This morning I was buying cigarettes at the gas station. I bought two packs of the Camel no.9. The woman behind the counter, who looked like my mom when she was younger, asked me what the difference between the pink ones and the regular ones are. I explained they tasted different, that different people taste different things, but I taste chocolate and sweetness.
A man got in line behind me and commented something about tasting the arsenic in them. We all laughed and joked about how smoking is stupid and the man behind me seemed to try to make the point that the cigarette companies, in conjunction with the government, are trying to kill people.
I disagree. Personally, I think the mass deaths were an unexpected side effect of the rich/white enslaving the poor/brown to their intelligence numbing products. This had to balanced out by something. After all, one does need someone to do the dirty work.
So, they started instituting abstinence only sex education and have been trying to get rid of abortion all together! It makes so much sense now! What better way to continue mass profits off of the sell of poison than to ensure the birth of the next generations of addicts!
Maybe this makes me evil or even *gasp* a socialist, but I think we need to start restricting the number of children people like this

and this

are allowed to have.
At least until we get some of them through college and off the meth.

Red V. Blue
Left wing people like to sit around and talk about the ideas and philosophy of making the world a better and more equal place.
Right wing people actually roll up their sleeves and work hard to MAKE the world a worse, less equal place.

Child Prostitution
http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/11/16/north.carolina.missing.girl/index.html
I first heard about this this morning on the Early Show. They were interviewing her dad and aunt.
I just sat on the couch, mesmerized by the sound in her dad's voice. Crying is not a great way to start a day. But I could hear his soul and brain wretching at the thought of what could be happening or what might have happened to his achingly beautiful daughter.
From the pictures, I think I would have loved her.
I dunno why, but this reminds me of my sister's friend dying of cancer when she was six. It's probably the curly hair.

Seven months
I just heard this story on NPR.
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=120360137
My question is, why does it take NASA seven months to decide to try reverse? Really? So, seven months later someone says, "ok ok ok! that's enough! let's just try reverse..."
I'm sure I'm missing something. Or alot of things. Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about NASA. It bores me and I feel it's a waste of resources. I'm sure every command they send to this robot costs the people 7.3billion dollars or something, and if that is true, then by all means, take seven months to decide how to spend my money.
But I can't stop thinking about being in traffic behind someone who works for NASA...
